Trick or Treat? Trick, you will be tormented as you read through this devilishly lengthy wall of text, falling into purgatory, spiralling as you continuously scream the word CREEEEEPERRRRR.
Okay, half a wall of text.
Okay, Okay, an acceptable amount of words which may be somewhat informative.
Right, let's talk about 1.7.
So, as you may have noticed, Main and Skyblock are still on 1.6.4. Why? Well, you know all those awesome plugins? They're dependant on a mod called Bukkit, a modified version of Vanilla Minecraft. The developers of Bukkit usually take around 1-2 weeks to update their software, so that's how long we'll have to wait until Main and Skyblock are fully updated. Of course, this isn't including individual plugin development time, which may push everything back, but 1-2 weeks serves as a good timescale, so let's stick with that.
Moving onto an important announcement! (skip this if you don't play the main server)
We will be removing the /chest command by Friday evening (GMT + 11:00) 1st of November. That gives you 2 days to finalise the items that will be copied over from your /chest onto the new 1.7.* Main world/server. We will also be imposing item limitations, so keep an eye on the forums for Turtle's post, as this is subject to change.
Next on the agenda, Development servers!
What are development servers?
Development servers are a testing ground for ideas, game types and refinement. We will use these servers as a kind of laboratory for what Rarecraft players want to see next. Suggestions can be submitted via the forums under the 'Suggestions' category, but we'll release a more human friendly way to submit your ideas within the next week or so.
Development servers will go through rigorous testing, ensuring the gameplay is fun, balanced and aligns with Rarecraft's values and culture.
Applications for the Development servers will be released in 1-2 weeks from now. Donators/Contributors will be granted special early access once the servers are up.
Vanilla! Ice Cream? Not quite; no.
Rarecraft - Vanilla - a back to basics server type. No plugins, no instant TP's, no homes and no freebies. Many players have already been enjoying the simplicity of vanilla. Interested? Add 7.raremc.com to your server list.
A final note
To end this update, I'd like to say thanks to the staff. They've been doing a fantastic job at maintaining the special atmosphere that only Rarecraft can create, and I look forward to working with all of you to make everyone as happy as they can be.
'Leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.'
Yes we can't give a rarecraftian admin like that. Rio may seem very nice and eerything but admin is more than being helpful. I would say you have to be head mod before admin but maybe head guardian/helper if the head mods refuse and we need one.
